2022 Education Ministry Smart Chip System Application Innovation Project Competition - Selected Award.

Under the guidance of Professor Chung Ming-an from the Department of Electronics, National Taipei University of Technology, fourth-year students Huang Shang-jui and Hsieh Ming-chun participated in the 2022 Ministry of Education's Smart Chip System Application Innovation Project Competition and achieved the "Selected Award".

90% of the body's blood is distributed in the microvessels throughout the body, also known as the peripheral circulation. Poor blood circulation can cause various health problems, ranging from mild symptoms such as cold hands and feet, fatigue, and soreness to severe issues like stroke, arterial blockage, and even amputation, increasing the risk of chronic diseases. In response to this problem, Huang and Hsieh's team proposed a smart glove that can detect and analyze body signals that are imperceptible to ordinary people and establish a communication platform with doctors, thereby preventing chronic and other diseases from occurring in advance. This product can be applied to various groups such as the elderly, patients with hypertension, hyperglycemia, and hyperlipidemia, and mountain climbers, by analyzing peripheral values to remind them of current and future dangers.

Professor Chung Ming-an guided the students in using smart sensing technology and integrating various sensing technologies, enabling them to demonstrate their talents in various application fields. Through the competition process, the students learned about project management and teamwork, forming a virtuous cycle between teacher and student, which is an excellent model of technical and vocational education implementation at National Taipei University of Technology.
