Congratulations! Professor Ming-An Chung from the Department of Electronic Engineering has won the "Selected Award" at the 2021 First Metro Hackathon on December 19, 2021.
Professor Ming-An Chung led his students to participate in the "First Metro Hackathon" held by Taipei Metro, Cathay United Bank, Acer, and the Taipei City Government Information Office, and won the "Selected Award". The students developed a gamified app for Taipei Metro, which uses gamification to ease the flow of people and congestion during peak hours. By using game and reward mechanisms to attract passengers and combining route guidance with AR to help passengers better understand the task content and guide them towards the right path, the app provides entertainment effects and guides passengers to divert.
Under the careful guidance of Professor Ming-An Chung, students effectively combined industry-academic resources, leveraged the benefits of the connection between NKUAS and the industry, and guided students to use practical experience from enterprises and technical theories from the university to find demand and apply them to innovation and entrepreneurship. In addition, Professor Chung cultivated students' communication, cooperation, and centripetal forces, broke through their past thinking, and helped them learn to think and integrate flexibly, creating a good teaching environment. He expects to implement practical skills education for students at NKUAS and cultivate new generations of technology talents in Taiwan.
